POPULAR AUTHORS such as Janet Evanovich, Augusten Burroughs, Erica Jong, Nora Roberts and Sue Grafton are adding casino stops to their book tours-not to try their hand at blackjack but to promote their latest novel. Many casinos already book comedians and musicians, so why Tiffany Elsa Peretti Open Heart pendant authors, too?

"Obviously, many people read books and everybody has got their favorite authors, and it just seemed like it would be a logical extension of our program offering," Mitchell Etess, chief executive of Mohegan Sun, tells The New York Times. His casino primarily works with Penguin Group USA to bring in authors.

Publicists are more Tiffany Key Heart key charm willing to send their authors to new venues. Casino appearances increase the author's exposure and may win new readers who wander over from the slot machines. And casinos benefit by attracting more visitors. Even if the fans don't gamble, they may take advantage of the casinos other amenities, such as the hotel, spa, restaurants or shopping.

On the day of Janet Evanovich's book signing at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Tiffany Key Oval key pendant, for example, the bookstore in the casino's retail concourse sold 1,125 copies of her latest book, Twelve Sharp. Sounds like a win-win situation.
